The irony is that during the Obama administration’s first six months, we have seen ample evidence of noble lies.
The first category is the historically inaccurate statement designed to bolster the spirits of the Islamic world. This type of lie offers proof of Obama’s noble intentions and conduces to the greater good. Obama, of course, seems to know little history. And to the degree he is interested in the past, history becomes largely a melodramatic, rather than tragic, story, in which we are to distinguish victims and oppressors based on modern moral standards, and allot sympathy and blame accordingly.Instead, Obama seems to believe that fudging on facts is not fudging, but simply offers a competing narrative that gains validity by its good intentions. Most Americans, Obama further believes, are either too dense or too uneducated to discern his misinformation. But they will at some future date appreciate the global good will that results from his feel-good mytho-history.

This is the headline in Newsweek magazine. Even they are making fun of Obama's promise of transparency. Here is another campaign promise that will not happen. Here is an excerpt:
Welcome to Obama's world of lies....

“Those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history; but that we will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench your fist.”
President Obama was right to speak carefully about the events in Iran during the first week of protest. But it's time for him to express his solidarity with the Iranians who are so bravely taking to the streets each day. He can do that without seeming to meddle if he chooses his words wisely . . . Obama's agenda of "engagement" with Iran must be on hold for now. He shouldn't renounce his offer of talks, but allow it to sit. Let the Iranians chase the West for a while; they're the ones who need legitimacy.
UPDATE II: Another journalist, Reuel Marc Gerecht, does not think Obama's approach is the right one:
It’s a pity that President Obama has trapped himself in a doomed outreach to Khamenei. Even if Mousavi wins the present tug-of-war, he’ll probably support Iran’s continued development of nuclear weapons. He was in office when the Islamic Republic first became serious about building the bomb; his powerful backer, Rafsanjani, is the true father of the nuclear program; and there is little reason why Mousavi would want to anger a pro-nuclear Revolutionary Guard Corps that had refrained from downing him.

19 Ambassador Nominees Bundled $4.8 Million for President's Campaign.
"If all goes according to plan, Colorado businessman Vinai Thummalapally will soon be moving to a Central American tourist paradise to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Belize."
"Of course, friendship only goes so far in the world of ambassadorships. It's Thummalapally's fundraising for -- not partying with -- President Obama that is more characteristic of his fellow ambassador nominees. The Coloradan bundled between $100,000 and $200,000 for the Obama campaign and has personally contributed $13,375 to Mr. Obama's various campaigns since 1999. And according to Federal Election Commission records, Thummalapally's "not employed/student" children Vishal and Sharanya donated $2,300 and $2,275 to the president."Will people ever get outraged by Obama's Chicago style presidency?

President Obama's choice as chief of protocol for the State Department, a position that carries the status of an ambassadorship, did not file tax returns for 2005 and 2006, errors she corrected last November. The nominee, Capricia Penavic Marshall, has placed blame for the problem on the Postal Service and on miscommunication between her husband and their accountant.
What's up with this group? They love raising taxes and forcing people to pay but that rule does not apply to them. HOPE & CHANGE baby!

President Obama told the American Medical Association that he's "not advocating caps on malpractice awards which I believe can be unfair to people who’ve been wrongfully harmed" but that he wants "a range of ideas."
He's open to a range of ideas, as long as they do not impede the revenue streams of his political allies, like the trial lawyers.

The streets of Iran’s capital erupted in the most intense protests in a decade on Saturday, with riot police officers using batons and tear gas against opposition demonstrators who claimed that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had stolen the presidential election.
Let's not forget Ahmadinejad was Obama's favorite dictator and Obama was committed to talking to him. Well, it shows again how naive Obama was and still is. Iranian bloggers, twitters and people are asking for help and so far there has been only silence from this Administration. HOPE & CHANGE!

A friend emails me: “Are the 600,000 imaginary jobs Obama promised yesterday in addition to the 2,000,000 imaginary jobs previously created or saved, or is the old number just inoperative?” Good question. Back in April the president said we already had saved 150,000 jobs. But throughout January and February administration officials promised to “save or create” 3.5 or 4 million jobs. Then they began to say 2 million. But these aren’t, you know, real jobs. They are something called “job equivalents.” (Do they bear the same relationship to “jobs” as “processed cheese” to “cheese”?) But the administration has already admitted the obvious –”it’s such a moving target” — that it’s all pretty meaningless. What isn’t meaningless is that unemployment is at 9.4% and we’ve lost 2.9 million jobs this year.
So the honest answer to my friend’s question: No one knows how many, if any, jobs we’ve “saved or created.” (By the way, do we deduct the 95,000 direct and indirect jobs to be lost with the closing of the F-22 production line?) But we have spent $787B plus interest to get them. If there are any.
On Saturday, a reporter asked the president whether Europe was low on his priority list, following newspaper reports he turned down a private dinner with the French president after 65th anniversary D-Day commemorations.
“I have a very tough schedule and I would love nothing more than to have a leisurely week in Paris, stroll down the Seine, take my wife out to a nice meal, have a picnic in Luxembourg Gardens,” Obama said, pointing out that he was caught up in dealing with the pressing financial crisis at home.
Stroll down the Seine! Our president can walk on water! Who knew? Now you understand why he needs his beloved Teleprompter to talk.

We must also add Iran's intolerance toward religious minorities like Bahai's and what about Saudi intolerance where no church can be constructed in the kingdom, but they can hundreds of mosques build in the West.
It's time for Obama to learn to state the facts not fantasies.

He even went so far as to tell the audience that he considers "it part of my responsibility as president of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear."
Why is his responsibility to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam? Don't they have their own leaders? unless Obama thinks he is the leader of the Muslim world too!

and he wants us educate ourselves to learn more about Islam???!! What is it that we need to learn more? Please do educate us, since he claim to know more about. Why don't you enlighten us, Mr. President?

“Barack” is the candidate’s Kenyan father’s name; Obama’s middle name, “Hussein,” is his grandfather’s name. Obama has described his father as atheist or agnostic.Today we find out his father Barack Obama Senior was indeed a Muslim.
During a conference call in preparation for President Obama's trip to Cairo, Egypt, where he will address the Muslim world, deputy National Security Adviser for Strategic Communications Denis McDonough said "the President himself experienced Islam on three continents before he was able to -- or before he's been able to visit, really, the heart of the Islamic world -- you know, growing up in Indonesia, having a Muslim father -- obviously Muslim Americans (are) a key part of Illinois and Chicago."
We are not surprised at all, do you remember his interview with New York Times in 2007? Here is an excerpt:
"In a free-ranging interview with the New York Times, Obama described the Muslim call to prayer as ‘one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset.’ The Times's Nicholos Kristof wrote, Obama recited, ‘with a first-class [Arabic] accent,’ the opening lines of the Muslim call to prayer. "There is nothing wrong with being Muslim, but Obama needs to be straight with American people and not take us for fools!
Obama says our constitution was written "20 centuries" ago!!! How many more gaffes until we officially can call him "dumbest president"? This guy does not even bother to think at least about what is he saying, he just reads whatever they put in front of him. Just Amazing!

Remember Obama scolded corporate executives when he said: "You can't get corporate jets. You can't go take a trip to Las Vegas, or go down to the Super Bowl on the taxpayers' dime."
Well, he just spend $250,000 on taxpayers dime to take the first lady to New York to see a Broadway show!!!!
This much everybody knows: Even before taking office, Obama broke his promise to not appoint lobbyists to his administration. Since then, he’s abandoned his promises to pay for every dollar of new government spending and bring home all combat troops from Iraq within 18 months. And in recent days, he’s outraged his political base by reversing his earlier commitments to eliminate military tribunals and release photos depicting prisoner abuse.
All those well-publicized reversals have overshadowed the administration’s flip-flops on a host of additional positions. Here are just some of the biggest flip-flops that you may not have noticed: "
