When facts don't add up, Obama exaggerate!

Stimulus Overhype?
The Obama administration on Wednesday issued a booklet heralding the accomplishments of the $787 billion stimulus act 100 days after it was signed into law.

Without question the book lists many projects that are having an impact of one way or another on the economy.

But the first one of the projects featured in "100 Days, 100 Projects" doesn't seem to withstand the scrutiny of its description.
Well, we knew all along, that this president loves to exaggerate, so we are not surprised.

Obama's lies continues....Where is the end?

Obama, during his speech on national security last week:
"I ran for President promising transparency, and I meant what I said."
Oh Really! But on the easiest transparency pledge he made, the president has fallen consistently short. Here is yet another newspaper story on his failure to post bills on five days before he signs them:
Mr. Obama last week signed four bills, each just a day or two after Congress passed and sent it over to him.  The White House said it posted links from its Web site to Congress' legislative Web site about a week before Mr. Obama signed the measures, but transparency advocates say that doesn't match the president's pledge to give Americans time to comment on the final version he is about to sign.

How Dumb is Obama?

Enough for not knowing the name of our secretary defense! It's Robert Gates, Mr. President. Can you imagine if Bush had missed the name?
UPDATE: Regarding this event, Brett Ratner of the Center for Constitutional Rights, had this to say: “He wraps himself in the Constitution, talks about American values and then proceeds to violate them.”

hmmm... This is typical Obama that we noticed during campaign, and we are glad that many are acknowledging this, that he talks from both sides of his mouth, he never stands for anything!

Obama & The Tax Cheat

Barack Obama gave a speech this week about his new proposals to close tax loopholes for multinational corporations, accusing them of tax evasion through manipulation of the tax code, while his own tax cheat was standing next to him. What a joke!

Obama's great speaking talent!

On the eve of the Mexican holiday, Obama on Monday had an event in the East Room of the White House with Mexico's Ambassador Arturo Sarukhan (sahr-oo-KHAN').

Obama joked that it was "Cinco de Cuatro," botching a play on the Spanish word for "four" when he meant to say "Cuatro de Mayo," or the Fourth of May. He tried again, but he still did not get it right.

Read here.

Can you imagine if Bush had said this? how many times Obama can do this before we can call him an idiot too?

Does Obama know what tax-cut really is?

We began by passing a Recovery Act that has already saved or created over 150,000 jobs and provided a tax cut to 95 percent of all working families. We passed a law to provide and protect health insurance for 11 million American children whose parents work full time. And we launched a housing plan that has already contributed to a spike in the number of homeowners who are refinancing their mortgages, which is the equivalent of another tax cut.

If this sounds familiar, it’s because Obama tried claiming credit for tax cuts through mortgage re-fis before.  It was an Obamateurism of the Day in March, too, and I suspect we’ll have to open a complete subcategory of OOTD where Obama expands tax cuts to include supermarket coupons, software rebates, and the change you find in your couch.  I suppose when someone starts with the assumption that the government should direct the redistribution of all wealth, the idea that a mortgage refinance is a tax cut — when it in fact reduces the amount of money one can deduct from their taxes — makes a little more sense.

Did Obama really create 150,000 jobs?

Obama has mastered the art of exaggerations, and here is a perfect example:

At President Obama’s April 29 news conference, he claimed that the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act has “already saved or created over 150,000 jobs.”

Wait a minute. Isn’t the number of jobs actually plummeting?According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the economy lost more than 1.3 million jobs in the two months after he took office, and it has probably lost at least another half-million in April.

The day after Obama spoke, the Department of Labor announced that another 631,000 workers (seasonally adjusted) had filed new claims for unemployment insurance the previous week.

So what 150,000 jobs was Obama talking about?
